A letter from Mike
After more than 35 years, the time has come for me to share some very personal news: I have decided to retire from my role as General Manager and Authorising Engineer (Water) at HYDROP E.C.S. Ltd
What began as an idea and a determination to provide genuinely independent, professional and practical water-safety expertise has grown into HYDROP E.C.S. Ltd as it is today, something of which I am enormously proud. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with some exceptional organisations and, more importantly, some truly wonderful people.
For me, HYDROP has never simply been a business. It has been a huge part of my life. The trust that our clients have placed in me and in the company over so many years has meant more than I can adequately express. Many professional relationships have developed into friendships, and I will take with me a great many memories, conversations and experiences that I shall always value.
I therefore wanted to thank you for your support, your confidence and your friendship over the years. It has been a genuine privilege to work with you and to play even a small part in helping your organisation manage water safety.
Although I am retiring, HYDROP will continue with the same commitment to technical excellence, independence and client service upon which it was founded. I leave knowing that the company and its clients are in very capable hands, and every effort will be made to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.
Retirement will undoubtedly feel rather strange after a working life so closely intertwined with HYDROP, but I am looking forward to the next chapter — albeit with mixed emotions.
Thank you, sincerely, for being part of the journey. I wish you, your colleagues and your organisation every success for the future, and I very much hope our paths will continue to cross from time to time.
With my warmest regards and very best wishes
Mike
